Messages are screened automatically. If one is blocked, you'll be told rather than left wondering whether it arrived.
The two checks
Content. Language that breaks our terms — abuse, harassment, or harmful content.
Misuse. Attempts to move a booking off the platform, most often contact details or payment instructions.
Why off-platform is treated seriously
The terms are clear: communication and payment for a DJfindr booking are expected to stay on DJfindr. Moving off can lead to account strikes, suspension, or termination.
That isn't only about fees. A booking that leaves the platform loses the proposal, the signed documents, the cancellation terms, the payment record, and any recourse — for you as much as the client. When a client disputes what was agreed, the record is what protects you, and there isn't one if the conversation happened in your personal texts.
What can trip it
- Phone numbers and email addresses early in a conversation
- Bank details or payment app handles
- Suggesting a booking be settled in cash
- Asking a client to cancel a DJfindr booking and pay directly
What's fine
Talking about the event. Timings, songs, load-in, running order, what you're bringing.
Swapping numbers for the day itself, on a confirmed booking, for use on the day. That's practical and expected. The distinction is using it for the day, not using it to move the deal.
Your social handles on your profile. That's what those fields are for.
If a message is blocked
Rephrase it. If you were sharing contact details for a confirmed event, say so plainly rather than obscuring the number — attempts to disguise it read worse than the original.
If you think a message was blocked wrongly, contact [email protected] with the conversation and what you were trying to send.
Strikes
Repeated violations add strikes to your account, and enough of them restricts it. A restricted account can't log in. See Account Strikes and What Triggers Them.
When a client pushes you off-platform
Some clients will suggest cash to avoid fees. Keep replying inside DJfindr, and say plainly that you handle bookings through the platform. If they persist, report it — see Reporting a Problem With a Client.
The record of that conversation is also what protects you if the booking later goes wrong.
