How Reviews Are Requested and Who Can Leave One

You don't need to ask clients for reviews. It happens automatically.

What happens

When an event reaches Event Complete, we request a review from the client. Your event panel says so: We've already requested a review on your behalf.

The client sees the request in their dashboard, with any outstanding ones listed under Pending.

Who can leave one

Only a client who booked you through DJfindr and whose event completed. Your profile tells clients this: only verified clients that booked and completed their event on DJfindr can post a review.

That means nobody can review you off the back of an enquiry, a dropped booking, or an event arranged elsewhere.

Why that's worth something

A rating on DJfindr is made only of completed, paid bookings. A client comparing you against a profile on a platform where anyone can post is comparing two different things, and the reviews on yours are the ones that mean something.

It also means your rating moves slowly. A handful of reviews takes time to build, and it can't be padded.

You'll be notified

When a review arrives. Until then your event shows No review yet. We'll let you know when it's received.

Not everyone leaves one

Perfectly normal. Reviews are optional, and plenty of happy clients never get round to it.

The most effective thing you can do isn't chasing — it's the last twenty minutes of the event. Clients who finish the night talking to you are the ones who respond to the request.

What you can't do

Reviews can't be edited, hidden, or deleted, and there's no reply function. Your rating is what your clients said.

If a review breaks the rules

Reviews must relate to a real, completed DJfindr event. If one contains abuse, personal details, or describes something that plainly didn't happen, email [email protected] with the event name and what's wrong.

We remove reviews that break the rules. We don't remove reviews for being unfavourable.

Reviews go one way

Clients review DJs. There's no DJ review of a client. If a client was a problem, the route is reporting rather than reviewing. See Reporting a Problem With a Client.

Where to read them

Bookings → Reviews, with your rating breakdown by star level and by occasion. See Reading Your Reviews and Rating Breakdown.
