Pro & Platinum Tools
Identity verification, analytics, embeddable widgets, API access, and GigGuard.
Profile Analytics
Analytics in the sidebar shows how your profile and content are performing. Set a Start Date and End Date to change the range, and the Updated at stamp tells you how current the figures are. The metrics Profile Views โ how many times your profile page has been opened. Available on every plan. Mix Plays โ how many times someone pressed play on one of your mixes. Available on Pro and Platinum. Post Likes โ likes on your posts. Available on Pro and Platinum. Reading them together Each number on its own says little. The relationships between them are where the useful information is. Views are low. The problem is upstream of your profile โ you aren't appearing in searches. Check your Service Areas first, then your Occasions and Genres. These are inclusion filters, so a gap removes you from results entirely rather than ranking you lower. See Primary Location and Service Areas. Views are healthy but nobody plays a mix. Your search card is working and your profile isn't. Look at your cover image, bio, and rate โ that's what someone reads before deciding to listen. Plays are healthy but no requests. People like the sound and something else is stopping them. Usually the rate, an empty policies section, or no reviews yet. Everything looks fine but bookings don't convert. The issue is after the request โ how fast you respond and how clear your proposals are. See Building a Proposal: The Five Steps. Comparing ranges Seasonality is real in this business. Comparing December to August tells you about the calendar, not about your profile. Compare a month against the same month last year, or against the weeks either side of a change you made. What isn't here There's no per-mix breakdown or per-search reporting. Analytics tells you the shape of your traffic, not who each visitor was.
Embedding the Mix Widget
The mix widget embeds one of your mixes on your own website, using the DJfindr player. Available on Pro and Platinum. Setting it up 1. Go to Settings โ Integrations. 2. Find Widgets, then the Mix Widget. 3. Select Setup. 4. Under Customize: - Mix โ pick which one to feature - Background Color and Foreground Color - Show Genres โ display the mix's genre tags - Show Audio Player โ the player controls - Show Streaming Links โ links out to Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud, or YouTube 5. Copy the snippet from the Code panel and paste it into your site. Authorize your domain first Widgets only render on domains you've approved. Without that, visitors see an error. See Authorizing Domains for Your Widgets. Choosing the mix Whichever one best represents the work you want from that page. If the widget sits on a wedding page, feature a wedding mix. You can embed more than one widget on a site, each featuring a different mix โ a page per event type, each with a matching set. The toggles Show Streaming Links is worth thinking about. On your own website, sending visitors out to Spotify moves them away from the page where you want them to book. Turning it off keeps attention where it is. Show Genres helps a visitor decide whether to press play. Usually worth leaving on. Pairing it with the booking widget The strongest combination on your own site is a mix widget and a booking widget on the same page. Someone listens, decides, and requests without leaving. See Embedding the Booking Widget on Your Site. It stays in sync The widget reads from your live profile. Update the mix in DJfindr and the widget follows โ no need to re-copy the snippet. Testing Open your page in a private browser window and press play. If nothing renders, the domain isn't authorized.
Embedding the Live Event Widget
The live event widget embeds one of your events on your own site, so visitors can see what's coming up and get tickets without leaving the page. Setting it up 1. Go to Settings โ Integrations. 2. Find Widgets, then the Live Event Widget. 3. Select Setup. 4. Under Select a Live Event, choose which one to feature. 5. Set the customization options. 6. Copy the snippet from the code panel and paste it into your site. The options - Show Cover โ the event artwork - Show Genres โ the genre tags - Show Price โ the ticket price Plus background and foreground colours to match your site. Show Price Worth thinking about. Showing it qualifies people before they click, which is good for a reasonably priced event. Hiding it makes sense if the price varies by tier, or if you'd rather someone read what the night is before seeing a number. Authorize your domain first Widgets only render on domains you've approved, or visitors see an error. Do this before pasting the code. See Authorizing Domains for Your Widgets. Where to put it On your homepage or an events page. The strongest layout is a live event widget beside a booking widget โ someone who sees you're actively playing is warmer to a booking enquiry. Keeping it current The widget features one specific event. When that event passes, it doesn't swap itself for the next one โ you go back into the builder and select a different one. Worth putting in your calendar. A widget still promoting last month's night is worse than no widget. The other widgets There are three: Booking Widget, Mix Widget, and Live Event Widget. All are set up the same way and share the same authorized domains. See Embedding the Booking Widget on Your Site and Embedding the Mix Widget. Testing Open your page in a private browser window and check the event renders, the artwork loads, and the ticket link works.
Getting Identity Verified
Identity verification confirms you are who your profile says you are. It earns you the check badge next to your display name, and it puts you in the Verified DJs filter clients use to narrow search results. Available on Pro and Platinum. Starting verification 1. Go to Settings โ Account. 2. In the Personal section, find Identity Verification. 3. Select Start Verification. 4. Follow the prompts โ you'll photograph a government ID and take a selfie. You'll need a device with a camera. A phone is easier than a laptop. The statuses | Status | What it means | |---|---| | Processing | We're checking your submission. Usually quick | | Verified | Done. The badge is on your profile | | Requires Input | We couldn't verify you and need more information | | Canceled | You closed the session before finishing. You can start again | | Redacted | The session data has been removed | If it says Requires Input The common causes, in rough order of frequency: - The photo of the ID wasn't readable. Glare and motion blur are the usual culprits. Flat surface, good light, no flash. - The selfie didn't match the ID. Take it in even lighting, facing the camera, without a hat or sunglasses. - The document had expired. Use current ID. - The details didn't match your account. Your name and date of birth in Settings โ Account need to match the ID. Select Start Verification again to retry. Age requirement The verification check requires you to be 18 or over. Why it's worth doing The Verified DJs filter is an exclusion filter, not a ranking boost. A client who switches it on stops seeing unverified profiles entirely โ so the cost of skipping verification isn't ranking lower, it's not appearing at all in those searches. Your documents Your ID is used for the check and isn't shown to clients or on your profile. Clients only ever see the badge.
Authorizing Domains for Your Widgets
Widgets only render on domains you've explicitly approved. Anywhere else shows an error saying the domain isn't authorized. Adding a domain 1. Go to Settings โ Integrations โ Widgets. 2. Select Manage Authorized Domains. 3. Select Add Domain. 4. Enter your website's address. 5. Save. Each domain in the list shows when it was added. Do this first Add the domain before you paste the embed code. Otherwise you'll publish the widget, see an error, and start debugging the snippet when nothing is wrong with it. Which domains to add Your live site โ the address visitors actually use. Your staging or preview site, if you test there first. Site builders like Squarespace and Wix give you a temporary address before you connect your own domain name; add that one too while you're building. Both www and non-www, if your site is reachable either way and doesn't redirect. Why the restriction exists Without it, anyone could take your embed code and run your booking form on their own site. The allowlist means your widget only works where you've put it. If the widget shows an error Oops, this domain isn't authorized to display a widget! โ the error names the domain it saw. Compare it against your list: - Is it the www version when you added the bare domain, or vice versa? - Is it your staging address rather than the live one? - Did you add the domain, or a full page URL? Add the domain Removing one Remove a domain when you stop using a site or take down a widget. Any widget on that domain stops rendering immediately, so tidy up the embed code there too rather than leaving a broken block on your page. If you downgrade Widgets are a Pro and Platinum feature. Drop to Lite and embedded widgets stop rendering regardless of your authorized domains. See What Changes When You Downgrade.
API Tokens and Webhooks
API access lets you connect DJfindr to other software you use โ a CRM, a spreadsheet, an accounting tool, or something you've built yourself. Webhooks push updates to you when something changes. Both are on Platinum. This is a developer feature. If you don't write code or work with someone who does, you can safely skip it โ nothing in the normal booking flow depends on it. Where it lives Settings โ Integrations โ APIs & Webhooks. There's a View Documentation button there for the technical reference. Creating an API token 1. Under API Credentials, select Create Token. 2. Enter a Label describing what it's for โ the name of the tool you're connecting. 3. Confirm your password. 4. Select Create. The token is shown once. Copy it before closing the panel โ we can't show it again. If you lose it, create a new one and delete the old. Each token in the list shows its expiry date. Labelling tokens properly Use the name of the thing you're connecting, not "token 1". When you're revoking access to one tool a year from now, the label is the only way you'll know which one to remove. Webhooks Select Create Webhook to have DJfindr notify your system when something happens โ a booking request arriving, a payment clearing, a document being signed. Rather than your system asking us repeatedly whether anything changed, we tell it. Keeping tokens safe A token acts on your account. Anyone holding it can read your bookings and client information. - Never put one in a message, an email, or anything public - Never commit one to a code repository - Create separate tokens for separate tools so you can revoke one without breaking the others - Delete any token you're no longer using If you think a token has been exposed, delete it immediately and create a replacement. What you can do with it Sync events into a calendar or CRM, pull payment records into accounting software, push reviews to your website, or trigger your own workflows when a booking is confirmed. The documentation covers what's available.
Embedding the Booking Widget on Your Site
The booking widget is a compact version of your request form that runs on your own website. Someone on your site can send you a booking request without going to DJfindr first. Available on Pro and Platinum. Setting it up 1. Go to Settings โ Integrations. 2. Find Widgets, then the Booking Widget. 3. Select Setup. 4. Under Customize, set: - Background Color and Foreground Color - Text Button and Custom Button Text โ the call to action, if you want something other than the default 5. Copy the snippet from the Code panel. 6. Paste it into your website where you want the widget to appear. Authorize your domain first Widgets only render on domains you've approved. If you skip this, visitors see an error saying the domain isn't authorized. Select Manage Authorized Domains and add your site before you test. See Authorizing Domains for Your Widgets. Where to put it On your contact or booking page, in place of a contact form. The advantage over your own form isn't the form โ it's what happens after: the request lands in your DJfindr bookings with the date, location, and extras already structured, and you can reply with a real proposal instead of an email. Colours Set both colours to match your site. A widget that visibly belongs to a different product gets less use than one that looks built in. Check the contrast between foreground and background before you publish. Button text The default works. If you change it, keep it about the action โ "Check my availability", "Request a quote". Something clever reads as decorative and gets fewer clicks. It stays in sync The widget reads from your live profile. Change your rate, occasions, or extras in DJfindr and the widget updates on its own โ there's no need to re-copy the snippet. Testing After publishing, open your page in a private browser window and send yourself a test request. It'll appear under Bookings โ Proposals like any other.
What GigGuard Is
GigGuard is a mark on your profile that signals a higher standard of service and reliability to clients. It's associated with the Platinum plan. What clients see A badge on your profile reading Protected by GigGuard. Opening it shows them: GigGuard is enabled for DJs that are dedicated to providing exceptional service and reliability. They are committed to upholding the highest professional standards and enhancing client satisfaction. On a booking, clients are told the event is eligible for GigGuard. What it signals It's a trust marker aimed at the moment a client is choosing between two DJs who look similar on paper. Someone hiring a DJ for a wedding is making a decision they can't easily undo, and a badge that speaks to reliability rather than talent addresses a different worry than your mixes do. How it differs from the other badges | Badge | What it's about | |---|---| | Verified | Your identity has been confirmed | | PLATINUM | You're on the Platinum plan | | GigGuard | Service standards and reliability | They're independent. See Verified and Platinum Badges. Getting it GigGuard isn't something you switch on from your dashboard. It's enabled on accounts that meet the standard. If you're on Platinum and want to know where your account stands, contact [email protected] โ they can tell you about your specific account. Keeping it What GigGuard points at is the thing worth maintaining regardless: turning up, communicating clearly, honouring what your proposal said, and resolving problems rather than letting them become reviews. Cancellations and no-shows work against you here as they do everywhere else on the platform. See Cancellations, No-Shows, and What They Cost You.
