Every live event is either Public or Unlisted. You set this when you create it, and you can change it later.
The two options
Public — Visible to everyone (shown on your profile and the Live Events page).
It appears on your public profile under the Events tab, and in DJfindr's Live Events discovery where people browse by location and date.
Unlisted — Anyone with the link can view (hidden from your profile and the Live Events page).
The page works for anyone you send it to, but nobody finds it by browsing.
When to use Public
Anything you want people at. Club nights, festival slots, bar residencies, ticketed shows. Public is the default choice — the whole point is being found.
When to use Unlisted
Private parties. A wedding or a corporate event where you want a page for the client's guests but not the general public.
Something not announced yet. Build the page, share it with the promoter to check, and switch it public when the lineup drops.
Guest-list-only nights. Where turning up without an invite isn't the idea.
A one-off you only want to send to a specific group. A mailing list, a group chat, the people who were at the last one.
Switching between them
Edit the event and change the visibility. Going from unlisted to public puts it into discovery; going the other way pulls it out. The link keeps working either way.
Unlisted isn't private
Worth being clear: unlisted means unlisted, not secret. Anyone with the link can open it, and links get forwarded. If something genuinely mustn't be shared, don't rely on visibility to protect it — use the entry restriction as well, and be careful what you put in the description.
Filtering your own list
Content → Live Events has a Visibility filter, so you can see just your public or just your unlisted events. Useful when you've built up a few and want to check nothing private slipped into discovery.
Both still show on your dashboard
Visibility only affects who can find the event. Both kinds appear in your own list, and both can be edited, shared, archived, or canceled the same way.
