The booking widget is a compact version of your request form that runs on your own website. Someone on your site can send you a booking request without going to DJfindr first. Available on Pro and Platinum.
Setting it up
- Go to Settings → Integrations.
- Find Widgets, then the Booking Widget.
- Select Setup.
- Under Customize, set:
- Background Color and Foreground Color
- Text Button and Custom Button Text — the call to action, if you want something other than the default
- Copy the snippet from the Code panel.
- Paste it into your website where you want the widget to appear.
Authorize your domain first
Widgets only render on domains you've approved. If you skip this, visitors see an error saying the domain isn't authorized. Select Manage Authorized Domains and add your site before you test. See Authorizing Domains for Your Widgets.
Where to put it
On your contact or booking page, in place of a contact form. The advantage over your own form isn't the form — it's what happens after: the request lands in your DJfindr bookings with the date, location, and extras already structured, and you can reply with a real proposal instead of an email.
Colours
Set both colours to match your site. A widget that visibly belongs to a different product gets less use than one that looks built in. Check the contrast between foreground and background before you publish.
Button text
The default works. If you change it, keep it about the action — "Check my availability", "Request a quote". Something clever reads as decorative and gets fewer clicks.
It stays in sync
The widget reads from your live profile. Change your rate, occasions, or extras in DJfindr and the widget updates on its own — there's no need to re-copy the snippet.
Testing
After publishing, open your page in a private browser window and send yourself a test request. It'll appear under Bookings → Proposals like any other.
