Your account is at one of four statuses. Most of the time it's Active and you'll never think about it.
| Status | What it means | Can you log in? |
|---|---|---|
| Active | Everything's normal | Yes |
| Onboarding | You haven't finished setup | Yes, into onboarding |
| Deactivated | You deactivated it | No |
| Restricted | Access has been restricted | No |
Onboarding
You signed up but haven't finished the five setup steps. You can log in, but you land in onboarding rather than the dashboard, and your profile isn't public yet.
Finish the steps and you become Active. See DJ Onboarding: The Five Steps.
Deactivated
You chose to deactivate. Trying to log in tells you the account is deactivated and asks you to contact support.
Email [email protected] from the address on the account to have it reactivated. See Deactivating Your DJ Account.
Restricted
Access has been restricted because platform rules were broken. You'll be told to contact support for more information.
The usual route to this is accumulating strikes — for moving bookings off-platform, abusive messages, or repeated failure to honour confirmed bookings. See Account Strikes and What Triggers Them.
What to do
Contact [email protected] from the account email. Ask what caused it and what's needed to resolve it. Be straightforward — if something happened, saying so gets further than disputing it before you know what's been recorded.
What not to do
Don't create a second account. It doesn't work, and it makes the original situation worse. You'd also lose your reviews, your completed event count, your client history, and your handle — none of which transfer.
Your bookings
A restricted or deactivated account still has commitments attached to it. If you have confirmed events and can't access your account, contact support urgently — clients have paid for those dates and need to know where they stand.
Where to check
The status only becomes visible when it blocks something. An account that's working normally is Active.
