Reviews are the most powerful trust signal on DJfindr. Your aggregate star rating prominently displays on your public DJ profile and directly influences your ranking in search results.
How Reviews Work
- After an event's status moves to Event Complete, DJfindr automatically sends the client a review request email within 24 hours.
- The client is prompted to rate you from 1 to 5 stars and write a text testimonial.
- Once submitted, the review immediately appears on your public profile and is reflected in your aggregate rating.
Viewing Your Reviews
Navigate to Calendar & Bookings → Reviews.
Here you see:
- A list of all received reviews, newest first
- The star rating and written testimonial for each
- The associated event and client name
- Your current average rating and total review count
Impact of Reviews on Search Ranking
DJfindr's discovery algorithm weighs multiple factors, with review quality being one of the most significant:
- Average Star Rating — Higher ratings push you up in local search results.
- Review Recency — Recent reviews carry more weight than old ones.
- Review Frequency — Consistent reviews signal an active, in-demand DJ.
- Response Rate — How quickly you respond to new event requests.
Profile Tags Earned Through Reviews
Certain profile tags are automatically awarded based on your review performance:
- ⭐ Top Rated Talent — Awarded when your average rating exceeds 4.8 with a minimum number of reviews.
- Other tags are awarded based on booking count, response rate, and account longevity.
These tags appear prominently on your profile and in search results.
Reporting a Review
If you receive a review that violates DJfindr's Terms of Service (e.g., defamatory content, spam, or a review from a non-client), you can flag it:
- Navigate to Bookings → Reviews.
- Click the Report button next to the review.
- Select the reason for the report.
- A DJfindr administrator will investigate within 48–72 hours.
Fraudulent or policy-violating reviews may be removed at the discretion of DJfindr's moderation team.
Tip: After every completed event, personally thank your client and gently remind them to leave a review. A brief personal message dramatically increases review submission rates.
