Trust is the foundation of the DJfindr platform. To protect both clients and performers, DJs on the Pro and Platinum plans can complete Identity Verification to earn a verified badge on their profile.
Why Verify Your Identity?
- Client Trust: A verified badge signals to clients that you are a legitimate, professional business.
- Search Ranking Boost: Verified profiles receive preferential treatment in DJfindr's discovery and search algorithms.
- Security: Verification helps prevent impersonation and fraud on the platform.
How to Get Verified
Identity Verification is securely processed through Stripe Identity.
- Navigate to Finance → Settings (or Settings → Payouts).
- Look for the Identity Verification section.
- Click Start Verification.
- You will be temporarily redirected to a secure Stripe portal.
- Follow the prompts to upload a photo of a valid government-issued ID (e.g., driver's license or passport) and take a live selfie using your device's camera.
- Submit the documentation to Stripe.
The Review Process
Stripe's automated systems will compare your selfie to the photo on your ID and verify the document's authenticity. This process usually takes a few minutes, but can occasionally take up to 24 hours.
Once approved:
- Your DJfindr account status will update to Verified.
- The Verified Badge (a blue checkmark or shield) will instantly appear next to your stage name on your public DJ profile and in search results.
Note: DJfindr does not store your ID photos or biometric data. All identity verification is handled securely by Stripe.
