PayLinks ({DJ}.{PayLink}) are custom, shareable payment URLs that let you collect money from anyone — even if they are not a DJfindr user. They are ideal for quick deposits, informal gigs, or collecting balances from off-platform clients.

When to Use PayLinks vs. Event Proposals

Scenario Use
Structured booking with a contract Event Proposal
Quick deposit for a casual gig PayLink
Client not on DJfindr PayLink
Collecting a final balance PayLink
Need a signed agreement Event Proposal

Creating a PayLink

  1. Navigate to Finance → PayLinks.
  2. Click Create New PayLink.
  3. Fill in:
    • Amount — The exact dollar amount the client must pay.
    • Description — A note visible to the client on the checkout page (e.g., "Deposit for Halloween Party – Oct 31").
  4. A unique pay.djfindr.com/... checkout URL is instantly generated.

Sharing the PayLink

Copy the URL and send it directly to your client via text, email, Instagram DM, or any messaging channel. The link works on any device.

Client Payment Experience

When a client opens the PayLink, they see a branded DJfindr checkout page with:

  • Your DJ name and the payment description
  • The total amount due
  • Payment options: Apple Pay, Google Pay, or manual credit/debit card entry

No DJfindr account required for the client.

PayLink Statuses

Status Meaning
Sent Link is active and awaiting payment
Paid Payment completed successfully
Expired Link has timed out without payment

After Payment

Once a client pays:

  • You receive an instant email and in-app notification.
  • The payment appears in your Finance → Payments ledger.
  • The funds are added to your Stripe payout balance and paid out on your normal payout schedule.

Note: PayLinks are available on all plans (Lite, Pro, Platinum). Platform fees apply to PayLink transactions just as they do to Event Proposal payments.
