Your personal details are under **Settings → Account**, in the **Personal** section. These are your own details — they're separate from your public profile, which you edit at **Content → Profile**.

## What's here

- **First & Last Name**
- **Birthdate**
- **Email Address**
- **Phone Number**

Select **Edit** to change them.

## Changing your email

Email has its own dialog because it's your login.

1. Select **Change** next to **Email Address**.
2. Confirm your current password.
3. Enter the **New Email**.
4. Select **Change**.

Use an address you'll keep. Booking notifications, payment alerts, and password resets all go there, and losing access to it means losing the easy route back into your account.

## Personal details vs profile details

This catches people out:

| This screen | Your public profile |
|---|---|
| Your legal first and last name | Your **Display Name** — your stage name |
| Your birthdate | Your **Experience** in years |
| Your email and phone | Your social profiles |

Clients don't see anything on this screen. Your legal name is used for identity verification and payment setup.

## Keep them accurate

Your name and birthdate need to match your ID for identity verification and payment setup to complete. A mismatch is the most common reason either one stalls. If you've changed your name legally, update it here before starting either process.

Your phone number matters if you've turned on SMS notifications — see [Choosing Which Notifications You Receive](/hc/djs/articles/account-settings-and-notification-preferences-djs).

## Password and login

Password changes and linked login methods are in the **Security** section further down the same page.
