Your profile is what a client reads before deciding whether to message you. You edit it at **Content → Profile**, and you can see the result any time with the **View** button at the top.

## The sections

The editor is split into six blocks, each with its own **Edit** button.

**Links** — your **Profile Link** (`djfindr.com/dj/yourhandle`) and your **DJ Link** (`yourhandle.djfi.site`). See [Claiming Your DJ Link](/hc/djs/articles/managing-your-djfindr-link-and-qr-codes).

**Social Profiles** — Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Spotify, SoundCloud, and Facebook. These appear as icons in the *Connect with* block at the bottom of your page.

**About** — **Display Name**, **Experience**, **Profile Handle**, **Bio**, and **Profile Tags**.

**Location** — your **Primary Location** and the **Service Areas** you'll travel to.

**Services** — **Occasions**, **Genres**, **Extras**, **Average Hourly Rate**, and **Booking Extensions**.

Live events are managed separately at **Content → Live Events** and appear under the **Events** tab. See [Creating a Live Event](/hc/djs/articles/1786210713-creating-a-live-event).

**Policies** — **Cancellation Policy**, **Cancellation Period**, **Travel Cost**, and **Requisites**.

## What a client sees

Your public page has seven tabs: **About**, **Services**, **Mixes**, **Posts**, **Reviews**, **Policies**, and **Events**. Above them sit your cover image, profile picture, display name, badges, star rating, and three stats — **LOCATION**, **AVERAGE RATE**, and **EVENTS** completed. The **Book** and **Message** buttons follow the client down the page as they scroll.

## Where to spend your effort

The blocks that most often decide whether someone messages you:

1. **Bio** — the only place you speak in your own voice. Two or three specific paragraphs beat a generic one.
2. **Average Hourly Rate** — clients filter on it. Leaving it unrealistic to "start a conversation" mostly removes you from results.
3. **Mixes** — the fastest way for someone to decide you're right for their event.
4. **Occasions and Genres** — these drive which searches you appear in at all.
5. **Policies** — a client comparing two similar DJs will often pick the one whose cancellation and travel terms are clear.

## Empty sections

Anything you leave blank shows a placeholder on your public page, like *"This DJ has not provided their performing genres."* If a section isn't ready, use the display switches to hide it rather than leaving it empty. See [Controlling What Shows on Your Profile](/hc/djs/articles/controlling-public-profile-visibility).

## Checking your work

Use **View** to open your public profile as a client sees it. It's worth doing this in a private browser window too, so you're seeing the logged-out version.
