A live event is a gig you're playing that you want people to know about — a club night, a festival slot, a party. It appears on your profile and in DJfindr's Live Events discovery.

This is separate from bookings. A booking is a client hiring you privately. A live event is something people turn up to.

## Creating one

1. Go to **Content → Live Events**.
2. Select **Create Live Event**.
3. Fill in the details.
4. Save it as a draft, or publish it.

## What you'll fill in

**Title** — what the night is called.

**Description** — what to expect. Who else is playing, what the room is like, anything people need to know before turning up.

**Start and end date and time**, plus the **timezone**.

**Location** — the venue address, and a place name if the venue is known by one.

**Cover image** and **flyer image** — the cover is what shows on cards and in discovery; the flyer is the full artwork.

**Genres** — what you'll be playing.

**Organizer** — who's putting it on, if it isn't you.

**Visibility** — public or unlisted. See [Public vs Unlisted Live Events](/hc/djs/articles/1786210713-public-vs-unlisted-live-events).

**Tickets** — whether it's ticketed, the price, and where to buy.

## Why bother

Your profile shows what you *can* do. Live events show what you're *actually doing*. A client comparing two DJs will read an upcoming events list as evidence you're working — which is the thing they're really trying to establish.

They also give you somewhere to point people. A link to a proper event page beats a story that disappears in 24 hours.

## Managing them

**Content → Live Events** lists everything you've created. There's a **Search live events** box, plus **Sort**, **Status**, and **Visibility** filters. Each event shows when it was **Last modified**, with actions to edit, share, archive, or cancel.

Empty list shows **No live events found**.

## Showing them on your profile

There's a **Display on profile** switch at the top of the page. On, and an **Events** tab appears on your public profile. Off, and the section is hidden without deleting anything.

If you've got nothing coming up, visitors see **No live events coming up, yet!** — worth switching off until you have something.

## Before you publish
