You can sign in with a Google or SoundCloud account instead of a password. Manage this under **Settings → Account → Security → Login Methods**.

## Linking one

Select **Link** next to **Google** or **SoundCloud** and complete the sign-in. Both can be linked at once.

After that, either appears as an option on the login screen under **or continue with**.

## Why link one

**One less password.** Nothing to remember or reset.

**A route back in.** If you lose access to your password, a linked account is another way in — no reset email needed.

**SoundCloud specifically** is worth linking if you'll import mixes. One connection covers signing in and mix syncing. See [Importing Mixes From SoundCloud](/hc/djs/articles/syncing-mixes-from-a-connected-music-account).

## What it doesn't change

Linking a sign-in method doesn't change your account email, your notifications, or anything about your profile. It's an additional door into the same account.

Your email address stays your primary identifier.

## Which account to link

One you'll keep long-term and control. Linking a work Google account you'd lose if you changed jobs, or an old SoundCloud you no longer have the password for, defeats the point.

## Signing up this way

If you signed up with Google or SoundCloud in the first place, you may not have a password at all. Setting one from **Settings → Account → Security** gives you a second route in, which is worth doing.

## Keeping the account secure

A linked account is only as secure as the account it links to. If your Google account isn't protected with two-factor authentication, that's now the weakest point in your DJfindr security too.

## Unlinking

Manage links from the same **Login Methods** section. Make sure you have another way in before you remove one — a password set, or the other provider linked.
