Six social fields sit under **Content → Profile → Social Profiles**: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Spotify, SoundCloud, and Facebook.

## Adding them

Enter your handle in each field. They appear as icons in the **Connect with** block at the bottom of your public profile.

## Which are worth adding

**Instagram** — the one most clients check. If you post from events, this is where they see you working real rooms.

**SoundCloud** — where a client goes for more than the mixes on your profile. Also the account you'd connect for mix importing. See [Importing Mixes From SoundCloud](/hc/djs/articles/syncing-mixes-from-a-connected-music-account).

**YouTube** — useful if you have full sets or video from events. Also where your intro reel lives.

**TikTok** — worth it if you're actively posting. An empty account isn't.

**Spotify** — for playlists you've built, which is a nice signal for a client thinking about their event's music.

**Facebook** — still where a lot of wedding and community event clients look.

## Only link accounts you'd want checked

This sounds obvious and gets missed. A client clicking through to a personal Instagram, or a professional account whose last post is from three years ago, learns something you didn't intend.

If an account isn't current, leave the field blank. A shorter list of active accounts is stronger than a complete list of dormant ones.

## What they're for

Social links do a specific job: they let a client who is *nearly* convinced go and confirm it. Someone who has read your bio, played a mix, and is now checking your Instagram is close to messaging you.

They aren't a substitute for filling in your profile. A client shouldn't need to leave DJfindr to work out what you do.

## Keeping bookings on DJfindr

Social handles are fine on your profile — that's what these fields are for. What isn't fine is using them to move a booking off-platform. Discussing terms and taking payment outside DJfindr goes against the platform rules and can lead to strikes on your account. See [Keeping Communication and Payments on DJfindr](/hc/djs/articles/1786146004-keeping-communication-and-payments-on-d_jfindr).

## Updating them

Edit any time. Worth a check when you change a handle — a broken social link is worse than none.
