You can change plan at any time from **Settings → Plan & Billing**.

## Upgrading

1. Go to **Settings → Plan & Billing**.
2. Select **Upgrade**.
3. Compare the plans and select **Select Plan** on the one you want.
4. Confirm in the **Subscription Confirmation** dialog.

The dialog shows the plan price, your free trial if you have one, any promotion, and what's **Due Now**. If you have a promo code, **Have a code?** reveals the field — apply it here, since it can't be added to a running subscription.

## When changes take effect

**Upgrades apply immediately.** The features, the lower platform fee, and the faster payout delay are all live as soon as the plan is active.

**Downgrades apply at the end of your current billing cycle.** You keep what you're paying for until then.

## Timing an upgrade

Worth knowing: the fee rate applies to payments collected *after* the upgrade takes effect. It isn't applied retroactively.

So if you've just landed a large booking and the client is about to pay a deposit, upgrading before they pay is what saves you money. Upgrading the day after doesn't.

The same goes for payout speed — the delay is set when the payment is collected.

## Billing

You're charged immediately, then on the same day each month. Manage the card from the same page. See [Managing Your Card, Invoices, and Payment History](/hc/djs/articles/1786047499-upgrading-or-downgrading-your-subscription).

## Downgrading

Use **Upgrade** to open the plan table and select a lower tier. It takes effect at the end of your billing cycle, so you don't lose anything you've paid for.

See [What Changes When You Downgrade](/hc/djs/articles/1786145665-what-changes-when-you-downgrade) for what you'll lose.

## Which way to move

**Lite to Pro** is the change that pays for itself fastest for most working DJs — halving the platform fee usually covers the subscription within a couple of bookings.

**Pro to Platinum** makes sense on volume. At 5% instead of 10%, the saving scales with what you collect, so it's a decision about how much you're actually taking through the platform.

**Down a tier** is reasonable in a quiet season. You're not penalised for moving back up later.

## Cancelling entirely

Cancellation happens through the billing portal, not this screen. See [Canceling Your Subscription](/hc/djs/articles/1786145664-canceling-your-subscription).
