Two badges can appear on your profile. They mean different things and you get them in different ways.

## The verified badge

A check icon next to your display name. It means you've completed identity verification — we've confirmed you are who your profile says you are.

**How to get it:** go to **Settings → Account**, find **Identity Verification**, and select **Start Verification**. You'll need a government ID and a device with a camera. It's available on Pro and Platinum.

The badge follows you around the platform: your search result card, your profile, and the reviews clients read.

See [Getting Identity Verified](/hc/djs/articles/1786047501-identity-verification-process).

## The PLATINUM badge

A **PLATINUM** ribbon on your profile and search card. It shows while you're on the Platinum plan, including during the 14-day trial.

**How to get it:** upgrade to Platinum from **Settings → Plan & Billing**. The badge appears as soon as the plan is active and comes off if you move down a tier.

## Why they matter for bookings

Clients can filter search results by **Verified DJs** and by Platinum DJs. Both filters are on by default in the sidebar, so a client narrowing a long list of DJs will often use them early. Without a badge you're not ranked lower — you're excluded from that result set entirely.

The two filters are independent, so a Platinum DJ who hasn't verified still won't appear under **Verified DJs**.

## Profile tags are a third thing

Tags like **Top-Rated Talent** or **Well-loved** aren't badges. Some you choose, some are earned. See [Profile Tags: Which You Pick and Which You Earn](/hc/djs/articles/1786145749-profile-tags-which-you-pick-and-which-you-earn).

## What neither badge promises

A badge says something about your account, not about a specific booking. Your rate, policies, reviews, and mixes are still what a client is really judging.
