Adding Travel Fees

If a client requests you for a gig that requires significant travel, you can (and should!) account for this in your proposal.

How to Apply Travel Fees

You cannot set an automatic travel fee on your public profile, as travel costs vary wildly depending on the distance, transport method, and accommodation requirements. Instead:

1. Review the event location when you receive a booking request.
2. Calculate your required travel expenses (gas, flights, hotel, per diem).
3. When sending your customized proposal, add a custom line item called "Travel Fee" or simply bundle the travel cost into your quoted rate.

Be transparent! You can use the messaging system to explain to the client that the quoted rate includes travel expenses.
