Your DJfindr profile at `djfindr.com/dj/your-slug` is your public storefront — the page clients discover when searching for a DJ. A complete, compelling profile drives more views, more inquiries, and more bookings.

## Step 1 — Complete the Onboarding Flow

When you first sign up as a DJ, DJfindr walks you through a multi-step onboarding sequence. These steps must be completed before you appear in search results:

1. **Basic Info** — Set your legal name, DJ stage name, and contact email.
2. **Profile Setup** — Upload a profile photo, write a bio, and select your genres.
3. **Service Areas** — Define the cities and states you serve.
4. **Event Types** — Select the occasions you specialize in (weddings, corporate, nightclub, etc.).
5. **Rates** — Set your hourly base rate and overage rate.
6. **Stripe Payments** — Connect a Stripe Express account to accept payments.

## Step 2 — Edit Your Profile (Content → Profile)

Once onboarding is complete, navigate to **Content → Profile** to access the full Profile Editor.

### Visual Identity
- **Profile Photo (Avatar):** A clear headshot or high-resolution logo. Square crop, minimum 500×500px, JPEG or PNG.
- **Cover Image:** A wide banner displayed at the top of your public profile. Use a high-quality action shot from a live performance.

### About You
- **Stage Name:** Your DJ name displayed publicly (e.g., `Nurth_Nation`, not your legal name).
- **Bio:** Write 2–4 sentences about your style, experience level, notable venues, and what makes you unique.
- **Social Links:** Connect Instagram, TikTok, SoundCloud, and YouTube — these appear on your public profile header.

### Service Configuration
- **Service Areas:** Add cities, metropolitan areas, or entire states you are available to perform in. Each area is stored as a geographic coordinate with a type (city, state, country). Multiple areas are supported.
- **Genres:** Tag your primary genres (e.g., House, Tech House, EDM, Hip Hop). Be specific — this controls which search filters surface your profile.
- **Event Types:** Select the categories of events you perform at (Birthday, Wedding, Corporate, Nightclub, Graduation, etc.).
- **DJ Extras:** List add-ons you provide (e.g., dance lighting, sound system, early arrival setup).
- **DJ Requisites:** List what you need the client to provide (electricity, parking, event schedule).

### Booking Settings
- **Hourly Rate:** Your base rate per hour. This appears on your profile and pre-populates the Event Proposal builder.
- **Rate Negotiable:** Toggle whether clients can request a custom quote.
- **Overage Rate:** Your per-hour rate for set extensions beyond the originally booked time.
- **Cancellation Policy:** Write your policy text. This automatically appears on every Event Proposal you send.
- **Cancellation Window:** Set how many days before the event a client may cancel without penalty.

## Step 3 — Add Your Custom Profile Link

At the top of the Profile Editor, you can set your custom slug — the URL at `djfindr.com/dj/your-slug`. This is your shareable booking link. Put it in your social bios, website, and business cards.

> **Tip:** Profile tags like `⭐ Top Rated Talent` are awarded automatically based on your review score and booking history — you cannot manually add them.
