DJfindr provides a complete financial ledger broken down into **Payments** (money received from clients) and **Payouts** (money transferred from your DJfindr balance to your bank account).

## Payments — Money In

Navigate to **Finance → Payments**.

Every financial transaction appears here as a line item. Payments are generated from:
- **Event Proposal deposits** — when a client pays the initial deposit to confirm a booking
- **Event Proposal final balances** — when the remaining balance is automatically charged
- **PayLink transactions** — direct payments from clients via a PayLink URL

Each payment record shows:
- Client name and associated event
- Transaction date and time
- Gross amount charged to the client
- DJfindr platform fee deducted
- Stripe processing fee deducted
- **Net amount added to your balance**

Click any individual payment to view the full breakdown.

## Payouts — Money Out

Navigate to **Finance → Payouts**.

Payouts represent the batched transfers from your accumulated DJfindr balance to your connected bank account. Stripe batches multiple individual payments into a single payout transfer.

**Example:** If three clients each pay $300 on a Friday evening:
- Three **Payment** records appear in Finance → Payments
- On your next payout date, one **Payout** of $900 (minus fees) is sent to your bank

Each payout entry shows:
- Payout date
- Total amount transferred
- The individual payments included in the batch
- Destination bank account (last 4 digits)

## Understanding the Fee Structure

For every payment processed, two fee types are deducted:
1. **DJfindr Platform Fee** — Based on your subscription plan (20% Lite, 10% Pro, 5% Platinum)
2. **Stripe Processing Fee** — Standard Stripe fee (~2.9% + $0.30 per transaction)

The net amount after both deductions is what hits your payout balance.

## Refunds

If a cancellation occurs and a refund is due per your cancellation policy:
- The refund appears as a negative line item in your Payments ledger.
- Your payout balance is adjusted accordingly.
- Refunds are processed back to the client's original payment method by Stripe.

> **Tip:** Use the date filter in Finance → Payments to generate revenue reports for any time period — useful for tax purposes or business planning.
