**GigGuard** is DJfindr's exclusive protection program for DJs on the **Platinum Plan**.

## What is GigGuard?

GigGuard ensures that you are protected against unexpected client cancellations, chargebacks, and no-shows. When a client books you through an official DJfindr Event Proposal and pays securely via Stripe, GigGuard guarantees your payment according to your cancellation policy.

## How it Works

1. **Always Use Event Proposals:** GigGuard only covers events booked and paid for through DJfindr Event Proposals. Off-platform agreements or PayLinks are not covered.
2. **Enforce Your Policy:** If a client cancels outside of your permitted cancellation window, GigGuard automatically enforces the penalty (e.g., retaining the non-refundable deposit).
3. **Chargeback Protection:** If a client attempts a fraudulent credit card chargeback after you have successfully performed the event, DJfindr's dedicated dispute team will fight the chargeback on your behalf using the signed Event Proposal as evidence. Platinum DJs are protected from the financial loss during the dispute process.

## Best Practices for GigGuard

- Keep all communication within the DJfindr **Inbox**. Written records of client agreements, extensions, and logistics are critical evidence if a dispute occurs.
- Ensure your **Cancellation Policy** is clearly written in your Profile Settings, as this is what GigGuard enforces.
- Mark events as **Complete** in your dashboard immediately after the performance.
